Why Halo exists
Most people who call a cleaning service have already tried one. The complaint is rarely that the cleaning was bad on day one; it is that it did not hold. A different person shows up each time, the notes you left last month are gone, and by the fourth visit you are back to leaving notes.
Halo was built around fixing that specific failure. The work is written down, not remembered.
The five-step protocol
Quality should not depend on who is holding the mop. Every clean follows the same documented sequence, and every home has a written profile that carries between visits: where you keep things, what you want left alone, which surfaces need which product.
That is why the second clean is usually better than the first, and why the eighth should look like the second.
Who comes to your home
- Every cleaner is background-checked before they enter a home for the first time
- Every cleaner is covered by our insurance and bonding
- You get the name of who is coming before they arrive
- You do not need to be home
The 24-Hour Re-Clean Guarantee
If something was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and re-clean that area at no charge. There is no form to fill out and no argument about whether it qualifies. That is the entire policy, and it is deliberately short.
What we use
We bring everything: non-toxic products chosen to be safe around children and pets, and full-size HEPA vacuums rather than household equipment. Nothing is billed for supplies.
How we handle money
You pay after the clean is finished, never before, by card, ACH, Apple Pay or Zelle. Prices are quoted per home in writing rather than run off an hourly meter, because the alternative gives the cleaner a reason to work slowly. There is no contract on any service, including recurring plans.
Where we work
Chicago proper, concentrated in the north, northwest and central neighborhoods. See the current service area. If yours is not listed, get in touch anyway, because routes are still being added.
